Chronically Ill Coffee Club 26th of April (Manchester)

Hello from Ellie (Recondition founder)  and Lucy (Social media girlie)!

The idea to start this event came from the comfort we felt at the charity catwalk we hosted in December. It was amazing being in a room filled with people who had been through something similar and it felt so safe to yap away.

We wanted to create a safe space for those living with a chronic illness to chat away about the good, the bad, the ups and the downs of your journey without fear of judgement.

It's just a few hours on a Sunday afternoon 12 -2pm  to offer a bit of escapism from a world where we’re constantly trying to be okay.

Info to note

- A free soft drink is included in your ticket (coffee, tea, juice, fizzy drinks etc)

- ⁠Location is the restaurant/bar space in Victoria & Albert Marriot Hotel (check our socials for a walk round as it’s accessible to get too)

- ⁠Nearest train is Salford central and Tram Deansgate/Castlefield

The bar and restaurant at the Manchester Marriott Victoria & Albert Hotel offer a generally accessible environment for guests, with wheelchair access noted among the venue’s key features, the area which our coffee club will be hosted is step free. The restaurant provides level access, spacious seating areas, and an accessible restroom . A visual walk through of the venue will be provided on our Instagram.

The bar offers low lighting and low ambient music, we are hoping the atmosphere will be relaxing and not overwhelming. 

The hotel has 5 disabled parking bays put front and a number of other parking spots.
